Spring training is right around the corner and if you are as excited as we are, you probably want to know who is playing who and where. The 2009 Cactus League promises to be exciting with over 200 games of baseball. Several of these games will include teams from the World Baseball Classic such as Australia, Mexico and South Africa. Additionally, there are games scheduled out of state where the Cubs and White Sox will be traveling to Las Vegas for some more desert baseball action.
While we are still in the process of finalizing our schedule section for the website, we thought that we would thank you for your patience and go back to the basics with some downloadable schedules for your reference pleasure. The Arizona Diamondbacks have announced their 2009 Spring Training Schedule. The 36 game schedule begins with a cross town rivalry (for the spring anyhow) with the neighboring Colorado Rockies. The team’s Tucson home opener will be against the Chicago White Sox and will be packed with action for the remainder of the Cactus League Spring Training.
21 of the games will be played in Tucson while 15 of the games will be played through out the Phoenix Metro area. The D-backs will wrap up their Spring Training with two exhibition games against the Chicago White Sox, in Phoenix, at Chase Field.

As we welcome the Los Angeles Dodgers to their new Spring Training home, the team has released their tentative Cactus League Spring Training Schedule. The Dodgers, who have been playing in the Grapefruit League in Vero Beach, Florida will be making Glendale, Arizona their new home. We are pleased to see that the schedule appears to show that they will be making good use of their new home as quite a few of the scheduled matchups will be taking place at the new Glendale Baseball Complex.

The Seattle Mariners will be playing 2009 Cactus League Spring Training at the Peoria Sports Complex. The team has been sharing their facility with the San Diego Padres and is getting geared up for the upcoming Spring Training Season. The following schedule is a tentative schedule as released by Major League Baseball and is subject to change. Additional schedules will be released as they are received.
